IS USING INTERNET SAFE?

We all are into this amazing digital world, where Internet is everything for us, from getting information to making online payments, we became so use to it. But, every good things too have a defect in it, or attract some bad works to, and Internet attract crime, the cybercrime which is as dangerous as some other crime done in offline world. So here we would like you to follow these tips and your computer will not be (so) exposed to cyberattacks.
Few Tips to Keep Social Distancing From Cyberattack:
Use an antivirus that analyzes all downloads: Make sure you have an antivirus installed,
updated up to date so that it recognizes the highest number of viruses, and
performs regular scans of the entire system.
Take care of passwords: When
entering them you must be sure that it is the correct page, since it may appear
identical to the legitimate one and it is a phishing. The same password should
not be used in different services because if they access one account they can
easily access the rest. Nor should passwords be shared with anyone, even if
they say they are from technical service, reputable services will never request
passwords on their own initiative.
Trust the web, but without being naïve: You have to stay alert, not everything that is said on the
Internet has to be true. When in doubt, check the information in other trusted
sources.
Do not click on suspicious links: Caution should be exercised before following a link when
browsing, in the mail, in instant messaging or on a social network. The
accompanying fake messages can be very convincing in order to grab the user's
attention and redirect them to malicious pages.
Be careful what you download: Do not rush and download anything, as new threats emerge
every day and antivirus cannot combat them all. You have to download the files
only from reliable sources and the programs from their official pages.
Be wary of emails from unknown senders: When in doubt, it is advisable not to respond to them and eliminate
them directly.
Do not open suspicious attachments: If it is from an acquaintance, you have to make sure that he
really wanted to send it. Viruses use this technique to spread between email
contacts, instant messaging and social media contacts.
Think before posting:
Current Internet services facilitate social relationships, which in turn leads
to the publication of a lot of information about people (personal data, images,
tastes, preferences, etc.). Given the value of this information, and the negative
repercussions that its inappropriate use by others may have, it needs to be
properly managed.
Know the risks associated with using the Internet: You have to keep up to date! It is advisable to be subscribed
to the OSI mailing bulletins, which include the latest current developments.
